A while back I reported on rumors of a new Pokemon game. The rumors were from a Japanese magazine called CoroCoro. According to their latest issue the rumors are true. There will be a new game for the Nintendo DS called Pokemon Platinum. It will act as the third game in the Pearl/Diamond series. It will be similar to Pokemon Yellow, Crystal and Emerald in that it will be the same in foundation but with many added upgrades. Some upgrades will include improving the existing Pokemon and a whole new battle interface. We will also be learning more about Giratina and it's origins as well.
Sadly this game will only be in Japan come this September, no word on it's American debut but Q1 or Q2 2009 seems likely.
Here is the actual page from CoroCoro Magazine:

Since I've been keeping you up to date so far with everything Banjo Kazooie, I knew I had to keep the good news coming. The title of the new game is Banjo Kazooie: Nut's and Bolts. I'm excited to have a title but sad it's not Banjo Threeie, but don't think for a second I won't still call it that.

Worth Your Simoleons is a weekly installment I will be doing that will take a look at games, dvds, nerdy buys, and gaming accessories that may, or may not be, worth your money. So, without further ado, here is volume one of Worth Your Simoleons:
Every once in a while a game comes along for a system that really defines why everyone and anyone should immediately drop what they're doing and run to the local game store to buy both console and game. For the Nintendo DS, I wholly believe that game is Professor Layton and the Curious Village and it is definitely worth your money!

Oh the old school days where you would have fun just pressing those simple little buttons or even going to the arcade and playing games for hours and spending all your quarters you had and begged for change so you could continue playing some more. For a lot of gamers you love to personalize your gaming room and who doesn't? I myself am working on a complete custom entertainment center that will make my room my ultimate gaming haven. But a lot of gamers now a days have found ways to add a little "geek" to their rooms while still making them quite useful. This guy you are about to meet has taken his love of gaming to a new extreme.
It looks like this week is going to be quite eventful, there has already been so much revealed and it's only Monday. So let's get started, here is This Week in Geek: Volume 8. Enjoy your Games, Entertainment, Entertainment, and Kittens.

Here I am (dun-un dun dun-un), to rock you like a hurricane. The name is Navie, and I'm broadcasting live from the UK! Don't let the accent you're hearing in your head at you read this fool you, I am an American bird through and through! I found myself in the UK after meeting, seducing, and marrying my husband Mark, a Brit I got to know (well) through my guild in World of Warcraft two years ago! You heard right, I married someone I met in WOW. Originally, I am from Ohio in the USA.
Aside from being a professional wanderer I am, as you could probably figure out, a gamer. Like many of the girls here, I've gamed since I could walk, starting with the NES and working my way up. I have greatest job in the world, I get paid to play my Nintendo DS seven hours a day... too bad that mysterious headset I have on whilst playing keeps cold calling rude people I'm supposed to try to sell insurance to *rolls eyes*.
Being a gamer can be expensive especially with todays prices. Which is why many gamers choose to wait until games drop price. Whether you own a Xbox 360 or a PS2, you can always find something good to play for a good price.
Although Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (GRAW) has been out for quite a while now. It is still a great game, and at only $9.99 for a used copy at GameStop (10% more off to those with the Edge Card). The game is a great addition to the Xbox 360 collection.
***SPOILER ALERT***
Go Speed Racer Go! So goes the mantra. Go Speed Racer Go See! So says I. Go see it in the theaters so you can say you did and you see what all the craziness is for yourself. Yes, you read correctly - craziness. I really did not know how to feel throughout the first half of the movie but I knew exactly how I felt during the second half of the movie. With an all star cast of actors and producers, this movie was either going to be full of vigor and vitality or, well, you know.
The writers and producers of the Matrix series and V for Vendetta, the Wachowski Brothers, were the two responsible for Speed Racer. The Wachowski Brothers a self-proclaimed comic book fanatics and started in the Marvel Comics family before entering into the film industry. They are known for taking the special effects and computer animation to the limits.
