What's Your Obsession??

Being around many gamers, I have noticed that each gamer has their own little obsession. From faceplates, to gaming collectables, or even the gamerscore, every gamer is different.

I have a few gaming obsessions. Although I would have to say I can't break my collections up into their own categories. I collect many items. So I would have to generalize and say my biggest obsession is my gaming collectables. I have T-shirts, faceplates, halo gear (ex. controllers, helmet, etc.), key chains, collector's editions of games, notepads, and various other items. I love them all, and am constantly adding to my collection.

But I want to know your obsession. Do you collect Star Wars toys? T-Shirts? Old Consoles? Whatever it is, I want to know. So email me a picture along with what your obsession is and why you have it to: ggladyluck@live.com. You may just see yourself in the next article.

At this moment i am collecting old chool RPG´s (i paid 95 dollars for Valkirye profile on the ps1 last week) they are expensive these days, but my main obsession is STAR WARS, i have been collecting SW toys since i was a very small kid, every year i go to Comic-con (except these year i dont think i will be able to afford to go) to find the ones that i still dont have. rare ones and high priced ones, i will definitelly send you some pictures, i always wanted to share my collection.
I also collect Anime stuff, i have spend over 2,900 dollars just on anime dvd´s along with their collectors box.

Well, my first obsession is pretty obvious.

I collect a lot of video game merchandise as well. I also own a Org. XIII coat, several stuffed animals of characers, Action figures of characters, T-Shirts (like today I bought a MGS4 and Zelda shirt), souvenir drinks and food, and sountracks and special editions of games (like KHIIFM+, though I can't play it. Damn region code!)

Nice stuff Lady Luck, well i have several obsessions, 1 being MMO's Final Fantasy XI, comic books, love collecting those. Ummm certain toys i like to collect from games, i have Resident Evil and Final Fantasy stuff. Posters, love collecting posters for my wall. Nice article. ^.^

can't say i collect anything but i do love games that come in tins but my collection at the moment is 4 tins lol

i mainly collect the games. i got tons of games for nes and sega. my 360 collection is getting bigger. I have alot of original star wars toys. some of them are in good condition but most of them are not because i got them when i was little and i took them everywhere with me. among my video game obsession i have a big problem with comics and manga. that sucks up most of my extra money. im getting into collecting action figures. i got some spawn figures, new star was figures, 1 gears of war figure and some naruto figures. i guess my gaming obsession is not to bad the comics is the real problem for me.

I'm with Scarecrow_Zero: I've been collecting old(er) games for a long time. The more obscure, the better! Anything from Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom to Deja Vu and Life & Death. I spent a long time collecting the RPGs I played when I started gaming (FF2 and 3, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Evermore), and I got hooked on the nostalgia.

Don't get me wrong, I love new games (Bioshock is a new favorite), but sometimes I just want to break out the NES and play Jaws or something. :)

Unintentionally, I collected a bunch of figurines from each EverQuest boxed expansion. But I do treasure them! :D

I collect controllers. But only because I constantly throw them at walls and for some reason stop working. =/

im obsessed w/ collecting hidden gems (Okami, The World Ends With You, Katamari Demaci, Zack and Wiki, Zombies Eat My Neighbors, Baiten Kaitos and other games like these) and harder to find games or games companies made limited copies of (Okami ps2, Electroplanktin, Marvel vs Capcom 1&2 and other games like these). my biggest obsessions are non game related tho. i used to collect rare cards from Magic the Gathering, Pokemon and Yu Gi Oh (i got Birds of Paradise, Ancient Mew, Mirror Force/ Rageki) but i stopped and now my obsession is w/ coin collecting (i got an old early AD ancient roman coin and a bunch of old US currency from 17th, 18th and 19th century). i also got 2 walking liberty coins (the old ones. not the 21st century colored ones. their for n00Bs)

Don't really have an obsession but I have come to realise I've bought the last 3 games in a certain game franchise and planning to buy the next one when it comes out later this year
