Top 7 iPhone Games

Jul. 20 4:28 PM by Nikole

Millions of people are enjoying the new capabilities that the new iPhone 3G and the new firmware update are allowing. Apple is flooding the market with all types of iPhone games and applications. Here are some of the must have titles you can get on your iPhone.

7. Bejeweled 2 $9.99

Bejeweled 2 is one of the most popular cell phone puzzle games. To date the first Bejeweled has been downloaded over 150 million times. It's even available as a download on the XBL arcade. Granted this isn't the most innovative game and it doesn't really take advantage of the iPhone's power but this game is a staple for any cell phone.

6. Bomber Man Touch $7.99
This puzzle game is developed by Hudson. It's available on the iPhone and iTouch. This game is bringing your iPhone one step closer to being like the DS. According to Hudson this game is:
"classic Bomber Man power ups and original special items" and take advantage of "the unique iPhone / iPod touch interface of flicking, tapping, and tilting with a built-in accelerometer."

5. Tap Tap Revenge Free

In Tap Tap Revenge you have to tap the iPhone along to the beat of the song playing. You follow along with red, green, and blue lights. Not only is this game free, you can compete in tournaments and win $25 iTunes gift cards.

4. Cube Runner Free

In Cube Runner you fly around with your ship and by ship, I mean arrow, through a maze of cubes. The game is incredibly simplistic but at the same time looks really fun. O and it's free, so I like it more.

3. Aurora Feint: The Begining Free

This yet another puzzle game but with a twist. The twist being there is an RPG type leveling system that helps you unlock new items and abilities. Some people have even compared it to Pokemon Puzzle League. I'm not quite sure if that's a good or bad thing though.

2. Super Monkey Ball $9.99

Super Monkey Ball takes full advantage of the iPhone's capabilities. To move your little monkey, or the level itself rather, you move and tilt your iPhone. With over 110 stages you won't be getting bored with this game anytime soon. Plus the graphics are really bright and colorful. It looks great on the iPhone's screen.

1.Crash Bandicoot Nitro Cart $9.99

Polarbit has created one of the best racing games on the iPhone. The game has 12 tracks, lots of characters and lots of weapons. This game has all the requirements to be a good console game. It looks great.

Phone Saber
Special Mention.

Sure it doesn't do much, anything really. But you can pick your own colors!!!! But don't hate on it, it's a light saber! Doesn't that count for anything anymore? This is more of an application than a game, but if you move your iPhone fast enough you get the iPhone to make the light saber sound and you can even pretend to fight your friend who has the Phone Saber app too!

i have a 3g its pretty sweet. bomerman and super monkey ball are the best.

That Lightsaber app. looks pretty awesome. Maybe they should also release Song Summoner on the iPhone. I love that game.

I strongly suggest you get more from the hot inter-racial dating club
' blackwhitefriends.COM' where LOve is color blind and you can meet many cute sport babes, both black and white and try more......

i have played games on the 3g iphone and N95 and from what i played the n95 better but the iphone is not bad either both are good as for paying for my games on phones...

The Iphone, like every other Mac product, is a piece. It's not easily broken. And any self respecting gamer doesnt care about phone games. Phone games are for people who are bored on the train, bored in a meeting or bored while waiting for a movie to start. any self respecting gamer or game review site would not have an article reviewing shitty phone games. Especially games for the Iphone.

Bejeweled is an instant classic even on the orginal Palm Pilots! Crash Bandicoot looks like a tight game! Chris Prillo did a review of it on his live broadcast.
