Come on Navie, calling everyone who wanted a MGS4 review a fanboy is a bit extreme.

Oh, I forgot to include that I don't agree with that review. I hope it was a nothing more than a joke.

Its nnot a joke, this guy does weekly reviews of the hottest game titles. I think he is very well spoken and will point out both the good and bad in a game.

I actually agree with a lot of what he said. I've been watching my BF play for a while now and it does not look fun and the story makes very little sense...at least that i could tell. I cant critic the gameplay since I have not tormented myself with it yet but i think i can safely say that Metal Gear is not my cup of tea.

I love watching the ZP reviews of games. I'm one of the said MGS fans and i honestly don't think he was harsh on it at all. Specially when you compare this review to his Halo 3 or BIOSHOCK review. But the story in MGS4 is overall quite easy to follow until probably the very end but there is alot of nods to previous games that shows you how they are all connected. Gameplay is more on the action side than the stealth side like he said which i didn't like because i wanted more stealthy bits. But overall he hits on all the points about MGS4.

It's a shame we couldn't hear one of you girls own opinion about the game though. My girlfriend actually loves the MGS series (along with other games like Okami, odin sphere, god of war, fable etc).

Although he was technically correct about everything he forgot two very important things. One thing is that althogh there are many cutscenes they are some of the best I have ever seen (raiden vs. vamp.) And secondly there are some of the greatest pieces of cinematic art in the last "chapter" that it really made nothing else matter to me.

Why not just link to GamePro's review of it if you aren't going to bother with one of your own? They're your parent company and could use the click revenue instead of some other place. LINKS OMITTED

Not saying Sid is absolutely right. Not saying Navie...oops, not Navie, but Yahtzee...is absolutely wrong. Of course, Navie couldn't tell you if Yahtzee is absolutely right or wrong in his review because she's never played this game. Good on her to decide for herself which review to endorse anyway. This just reinforces what I've been saying...that they need more diversified staff here. Having the microphone be dominated by an already self-professed PS3-hater isn't much of a step in the proper direction.

everyone can think what they want about the game, its their opinion. but i really like it, and im going on my 3rd play through soon.

@AGS123GP: Wow, I don't know whose getting more attention from Navie: you or me? I got two full blog entries devoted back at me, but you got death threats. Frankly, I'm more than a bit jealous of you.

Although joesfo put it crudely, the essential sentiment is correct. If you haven't played a game but want to blog about it with reviews, the best thing to do is post 2 conflicting reviews or grab one that sits in the majority.

eh, i think you guys are reading too far into this... yahtzee's reviews are fun and mostly true.. if you have a problem with it, cool, don't post... if you are offended by it you are a fanboy.......

The first game that i can truly say "that's my favorite game of all time" it is MGS4. I love everything about it.

I have played a lot of everything from "Terranigma" to "Halo", "FF series", "Zelda series", "Chrono series", "Xenogears", "Ninga Gaiden" but for me MGS4 is best i have played in my entire life.

I loooove Zero Punctuation, even if he dislikes the games I love (DMC4, Halo 3, MGS.) He makes some legitimate points about their flaws.

And this stupid viewer fued with the site is getting old. We all understand your complaints. It's self-defeating to complain to a video-gaming blog that you think their posts are subjective.

@antifanboyxxx: It's self-defeating to write a blog and not expect feedback in either direction since user comments are such a big part of blogging, but who's counting? Currently, what you describe as "subjective", I see as "vindictive."

No game is perfect, all games have flaws. Yahtzee does a really good job of pointing out the good and the bad and does so in a highly comedic manner. Why post up a wall of text that isn't even mine when I could put up a 4 minute video that is both hilarious and informative?

And it IS getting old, so if you'd like to continue on in this manner, I'll put together a list of names for the ban hammer to take care of.

Vindictive? That's a rather strong word to use towards an inherently subjective review. Your taking the deficiency of Sony coverage rather personally :P.

Constructive criticisms are one thing. Dragging out an argument and personally targeting one of the authors of a blog is another.

Oh, and my favorite Zero Punctuation review is definitely Crysis. "Crysis was apparently designed for a futuristic supercomputer...from space."

btw i recommend gamespot for reviews i have seriously accounts everywhere on the internet and so far gamespot has been the best for reviews.

oh i forgot Yahtzee may make good points about flaws in games but he himself is a flaw and is taking games way too seriously if you have fun playing end of story its a good game!

Instead we get a review done by Zero punctuation which is fine an all,but I honestly expected you girls to pick up this game and give it a try. Don't come to the site to see what YAHTZEE thinks I come to this site to see what you girls think. I've been bugging about this game and review for a wile now and I'm disappointed I must say. I'm starting to believe you game girls have no love for Sony because most of the topics are wii/360 related.

Well that was rather immature...Since you come under fire for not reviewing MGS4, you post the most negative review you could find. MGS4 is an amazing game,probably the best on the PS3, and deserves to be reviewed. Not reviewing a game because "I hate MGS4"(*quoted from Bunnyxablaze)is just stupid and something any respected and professional reviewers would not do. I suggest one of you at least rents MGS4 and posts a review of it, if you hope to win over your members. This, is of course, if any of you actually have a PS3, which I am starting to doubt. Keep up the blatant examples of 360 fangirlism ladies!

I lol'd so much at yahtzee's review of mgs4. I've been following his reviews since Halo 3, because a friend of mine send me the link. You have to see them from a different perspective and put aside your feelings for that particular game. True i love mgs4, i've been a follower of the Metal Gear sagas, since the original Metal Gear of the MSX, but i know it has some major flaws too, flaws that have been kept in each consecutive game. Does that keep me from playing them? no, i love them all. That's what gives me the ability to see the game for what it trully is, a good game, with flaws, but which game doesn't have a flaw? Please don't categorize people as fanboys/girls just because they don't like a particular game, i've been a gamer since the late 80's and this situation is getting sadder as time goes by. I remember sitting in front of my sega Genesis or my SNES with a bunch of friends, and play all day long. Now each time i play ps3, x360 or Wii i get a derogative comment from a friend...it's getting tiresome. Please just play the games, and stop this ridiculous wars

I will say this in their defense. Its not as if they are professional game writers. How many of them even own a ps3. Maybe gp should hook them up. Small price to pay for a more diverse game girl staff.

Yanno what, the difference between professional game writers and non professional game writers is this: Professional ones get paid. And when you think about.. arn't people who are getting paid more likely to write exactly what they are meant to.. for fear of the pay stopping?

Also, Navie may not be a "professional"... but Yahtzee is ;)
