Soul Calibur IV

Today the release date for Soul Caliber IV has been announced. It will hit US markets on July 29, 2008. It is slated to hit Europe even earlier, June 26, 2008. This will be the sixth game in Soul series and the first to have competitive online play. A new 'Fear' trailer is also out. Darth Vader looks insanely cool. I wonder how they are going to work Darth Vader(PS3 versions) and Yoda(Xbox versions) into the story. However the trailer did not showcase the alarming amount of enormous boobs in this game.



Also announced was that the original Soul Calibur from the Dreamcast will also be coming out soon. It will be available on the Xbox Live Arcade later this year. Via 1up.com

For those of you have both the Xbox and PS3, will Vader and Yoda be the deciding point when choosing which console you will get it on?

And for those of you who have only one, are you bummed to be missing out on the other not getting one, or do you simply not care about Darth and Yoda?

I'm pretty excited about this game! I'm not alone, right?

Yoda is so much better than Darth Vader.

 

I wonder if Darth Vader is going to have the force choke.

I'm to mezmorized by the enormous bouncing boobs to care about Yoda or Darth Vader at this time.

Meh...Soul Cabiler IV is a bit too ...well Japanese for my liking if you get what i mean although with the Vader and yoda thing thats a bit cruel to the gamers to have to choose, why not have both console games have both yoda and vader, oh and with the boobs thing you can pretty well imagine what the designers were thinking about when they were making the game

 

oh crap i forgot to write this;

another reason for showing flesh when in combat is to distract the enemy long enough to kill them easily but really if they make a volleyball game for this like Team Ninja did with DOA then thats just.........(you can finish my comment)

 

im excited for SC4 and Vader. it should provide a nice filler for me till Tekken 6 hits. theres 1 thing that blew my mind about SC3 though and that was the decision to put Spawn in as the console exclusive character. that just made no sense to me. y not Master Cheif????? heihachi made sense for ps2. link made sense for GC. but spawn for XB.......i like how they picked the characters for this game. black icon Vader goes to the black ps3 and green icon Yoda goes to green 360.

vader is sooooooooooooo much cooler than yoda.

 

The reason they do exclusives is because they know people will buy both versions just to get both characters. If Yoda and Vader were both in both games, then no one would buy both games. It's actually pretty smart on Namco's part. They actually thought of a way to get people to buy the same game twice.

I personally wouldn't buy it twice, but there are people who will. I know of people who bought all 3 versions of Soul Calibur 2.

um not to throw a wrench in anyone idea. but i am pretty sure i read on IGN or somewhere, that Either Star wars charcter will be aviable for DLC later on for which other console they did not come orginaly.

 

A lot of people are saying that the Star Wars characters are ruining the game, my friends and I though think its pretty awesome, I for one can't wait for this game, I only wish that Vader was on the 360 version cuase thats all I will have

Namco never said that. That's just something people are assuming. I don't think that it'll happen.

I still don't know how character are supposed to block light saber attacks...I mean come on....

 

think if you want to kill a jedi shoot him with a shotgun also i'd like to see a jedi reflect a 3xMinigun firing 600rounds a second, Lead traveling at faster than the speed of sound would go through the laser without being melted and why do the laser guns firing lasers in star wars travel slowly? anyway .50cal M107 rifle can kill you 1.2km away and drop you before you can even hear the sound

Get yer damn facts, statistics and real-life scenarios away from my Fantasy/Sci-Fi! "Suspension of disbelief" is your friend - embrace your inner child instead of sending him to his room on half rations or forcing him to jog around the base camp in the pouring rain. He deserves better then that.

On a more related note, my PS3 will be strong with the Dark Side soon. Oh yes, young Jedi, soon the student will become the master.
