Only one thing alone can make me get the biggest smile on my face when I've had an extremely crappy day...
and that is news of outrageous attorney Jack Thompson getting officially owned in the rear. The Florida Supreme Court has FINALLY put an end to Jack's outrageous claims by simply refusing to accept them.

A thorough review of Thompson's filings lead to one conclusion. He has abused the processes of the Court... Accordingly... the Clerk of this Court is hereby instructed to reject for filing any future pleadings, petitions, motions, documents, or other filings submitted by John Bruce Thompson, unless signed by a member in good standing of The Florida Bar other than himself.

What exactly does this mean for us gamers? Well, first of all, It proves that we aren't the only one's who think his claims are complete and total bull. It also means that Jacky T can no longer go around suing everyone and anyone he feels like without hiring himself an attorney first. After making as many attempts as he has and failing repeatedly, I don't see why he'd even bother wasting his money. But then again... we are talking about Jack Thompson here. He's not really known for his intelligence...

Stripped of his "powers", what will poor Jack do with his spare time? Perhaps pick up a controller? Buy a 360? Enjoy a few games? Hey! If you can't beat us, join us, right? Hahaha!

Great post. You keep messing with the law and eventually you lose, especially if you're a crazy lawyer.

 

Here is the great thing. He has already filed Twice more with the courts since this was put in place. What does that mean? He is in contempt and it gives them even more leverage at the hearing to have him disbarred.

 

They knew damn well he had a personal vendetta against video games, he was never really there for the "people"

i could write so much on how much i hate that guy really if i had time..wait i have time

1, their is not factual data thats says video games make people violent and no serial killer has used video games as a motive

2, People who play video games are meant to be mature thus for the M and MA15+ rating games

3, its the parent fault if their kids are 13years old and playing GTA but so did i and i'm at college and not violent and crazy

4, education, people already know its just a game and know that its not real but a fantasy

5, it can relieve stress and can be good for you by giving you a way out of life for bit

6, most gamers are people that are not addicted to games and play them 24/7

7, games can make the mind sharper for example playing tactical games or RTS games.

8, most people can know they have died in the game a fair lot and wouldn't want that to happens thus giving them an idea of not even thinking about doing it in real life

9, stuff dumbass who think they are pro shit and can beat everybody really they have no life and don't realize how everybody hates them

10, jack thompson has gone about this the complete wrong way me i'm not suprised because everybody knows Americans just sue everything.

11, Jack T even thinks wii is to hardcore although wii has nothing against 360, wii just uses mostly recycled games but with a funny remote
