Like most of TheBurntMatches' videos, I agree 100% with what she has to say in this particular one. The funny thing is... right before I watched this video I made my own video aimed towards the parents of gamers. I think that me and her even say the exact same thing in both of our videos... It's kinda funny. I think we were seperated at birth. Tell me what you think about what she has to say.

I def Agree with her. EGM just had a like 2 page article on the video game rating system. It's a good read and it goes in depth with who rates the games, how they are rated, and what is looked at. Did you know that the raters don't even have to play the entire game to rate it? They just go through a few hours of gameplay and determine a reasonable rate. I personally think it would take a shit load of time to complete, lets say, Oblivion, but I feel it would be well worth the game and ratings. All I know is my child will be able to play certain games like Gears of War, because I see Gringo Jr raping on that game at Tournys, and he's just fine. It's all about how you raise you're child. Some parents ignore the ratings and wonder why their 8 yr old just brought a gun to school. Woot. Gaming Industry needs more attention. Grrrz.

I love Cami I think shes great and I watch her all the time on Epileptic gaming. I agree with her on a few things. Take for example the FOX NEWS bullshit with MASS EFFECT and how it just made the game look like it was a big game for kids to have SEX in while we all know FOX didn't do one lick of research making this game look bad. Which only makes the simple minded parent believe these games are bad for children and that game companies should be at fault for it.

I love Cami and she is usually right.

Good stuff. I think the problem is (where I am from) that gamers are ashamed to play in the open world cause they'll get sh** about it from non-gaming peers. You know stuff like that isn't cool and Video games is for lames type of things. Now to my gamers just some advice: Don't just game! Do something else. Mix it up. There's nothing wrong with doing something else for entertainment on the side. Those kind of comments are made to hermits and people of the like. I game a lot but I also take the time to do DIFFERENT things as well. Now if you are ashamed then DON'T! We gamers are always here to back you up. Now I see I'm going to have to start making video's and such. Watch the angry video game nerd...hilarious MFer LOL!

in the end, it's just another form of entertainment. Yes, that is what she said and that's the only truth. The people who don't game merely have other means for entertainment. I don't understand how video gaming is under rated. Do you guys feel this way because it's not as main stream? Video games seem pretty main stream to me considering how it was 15 years ago. Lol, people are going to make video gaming into a drama reality tv show someday.

I have to agree with MrsViolence, it's all about how you raise your kids. I have a nephew, he loves video games. He's about 9 years old, and is kinda out of whack, and ONLY plays video games. I don't blame video games for his weirdness, I blame his parents. And I do agree that these days, gaming is projected to a more mature audience than ever, and also a lot bigger audience. My nephew plays MGS 2&3 ALL the time, yet he wouldn't pick up my PS3 controller to play Resistance, Skate, or even the friggen stupid gundam game I rented for him. To be honest, he was nervous to play it. Go figure.

now let me just say, here in Mass, you've been needing an ID to purchase M rated games. And my pussy politics are straight up blaming video games for teen on teen violence. C'mon now, you really think teenagers living in violent neighborhoods, struck with poverty, and segregation are killing each other cause you can kill people in GTA.
