Bioshock 2!

Most of you have probably already heard the news, but Bioshock 2 has been announced! It is slated for end of 4th quarter of 2009, which makes that sometime between August and October of 2009, but don't mark that on your calendar...we all know how games get pushed back all the time. :) I am just excited it's been announced, we all kinda were hoping and figuring that there would be a second, now it's official. No news on whether it will be Xbox 360 exclusive again or available on the PS3 as well, and it looks like it is not being developed by 2K Boston (the guys who did the first one) but by 2K Marin who is supposed to have some of the guys from the original Bioshock team on board. Honestly, I can't wait. I am not sure how the story will work out, maybe it will be like a prequel kinda deal where we play through the fall or Rapture....who knows, all I am know is all I want and need are more Big Daddies!

One time my Big Daddy and I were running through Los Angeles kicking ass and taking names. Then we went to Disneyland and we got in for free because no one back talks a Big Daddy. I remember being first in every ride.

A few hours later I woke up in a small room surrounded by paint thinner and gasoline, I guess it was all just a wonderful dream.

i was not impressed with the gameplay of the first bioshock. the graphics and water rendering was amazing, but that was all.

i think the series would've been better in third person view versus first person. just my opinion.

 

4th quarter is October to December, not August to October...

 

Bioshock is a great game! Yeah it would be cool to see the fall of Rapture. Could also be about his life before the plane crash landed. Or the building of Rapture and when he was little. For the 2nd one though I think they need to spice it up with some urban flavor. Maybe with some Big Mommas and Little Brothers. Maybe Chris Rock or Martin Lawrence would be available for the roles of Little Brothers. I smell game of the year.

I believe this will be a prequel mm interesting.

 

ya i really want it to be a prequel, i dont think a sequel would be very good it would loose a lot of its originality.

 

Agreed, I think a prequel would be really awesome, to see Rapture before or as all hell breaks loose.

 

this is really cool. i really liked the first bioshock and i really liked the story line. i think they did a really good job with the 1st one, i liked how realistic is was. like when the big daddy knocked you down, the camera actually went sideways, like it would be in real life. im very excited for the 2nd one. i hope it isnt the same person though, because that wouldnt really make too much sense. whatever they decided to do, im sure it will be good.
